Visionary Entrepreneur & Community Leader:

At the heart of this initiative is Ryone Winters, the owner behind Head Quarters Barber Salon & Suites. A visionary entrepreneur, fashion icon, influencer, father and more, Ryone has become a role model in the city’s young Black community. He’s achieved this through both his dedication to superior service for his clients, as well as his commitment to giving back to youth (especially Black youth).
Winters first began cutting hair at the young age of 13 under the apprenticeship of his father, who was also an esteemed barber. Despite pursuing a promising career in Division 1 football, Ryone faced injuries that led him to pivot to barbering full-time after college.
His early experiences at G Class Cuts and later at Studio 96 Barber Lounge helped him hone his skills and build a loyal clientele. About six months ago, Ryone took a bold step and invested over $100k to establish Head Quarters Barber Salon & Suites.
His vision was to create a one-stop destination for both men and women, offering a wide range of services from barbers to stylists, braiders, locticians, a nail tech, and a lash tech.
In just a few months, Head Quarters skyrocketed in popularity, largely due to their star-studded staff lineup including StylesByNyles, TeeKilla, Sira, and other hair stylists, barbers & locticians all who have impressive social media followings of their own. In less than 5 months operating, the shop already was named a finalist for 2024 Best Barbershops in Kansas City.
Ryone’s story is one of overcoming adversity, including battling depression after his football career ended. Through his faith and determination, he built a thriving business that not only provides top-notch services but also creates a supportive and uplifting environment for his clients.
Celebrity Clients and Community Influence:

Ryone’s expertise has attracted many high-profile clients, including Kansas City Chiefs players like Donovan Smith, Matt Dickerson, Mike Danna, and Turk Wharton. On game days, many Chiefs players visit Head Quarters to get game-ready.
