File 04 · Missouri’s 4th District

The Primary Nobody Is Covering

Seven Democrats want the nomination in a district drawn to make November an afterthought.

On candidates we publish records, votes, donors, dollars, and dates, and nothing else. No endorsements, no scores, no adjectives. The judgment is yours.

📌 The Stakes Are High

The 4th, wrapping the metro’s southern and eastern edges, votes August 4 in both primaries. Incumbent Rep. Mark Alford, a former KC television anchor in office since 2023, faces two Republican challengers. Seven Democrats filed, including 2024 nominee Jeanette Cass, who took 26.4 percent against Alford’s 71.1. Under the current lines, the primaries are where voters actually choose.
