The history of Kansas City is one that white media has weaponized to produce the dehumanization and social death of Black people. Black folks have been neglected, lied about and lied to by Kansas City’s white media institutions. When we have been murdered by white supremacist or police violence, white media served as a propaganda arm to justify our deaths in the public mind.
We were birthed from the 2020 uprisings and for the same reason as Freedom’s Journal (America’s first Black newspaper). We wish to reclaim our narratives and plead our own cause. Your financial support is essential to enabling us to continue our groundbreaking, revolutionary work to uplift the historically silenced voices of people in our community.

Is your website secure?
