Lee’s Summit West Students Attempt to Found Group Which Supports Same White Supremacist Terrorist Ideology as Buffalo Killer

A group of students at Lee’s Summit West are attempting to create a chapter of white supremacist extremist group Turning Point USA.

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO — A group of students at Lee’s Summit West have shocked the broader community by attempting to create a chapter of Turning Point USA.

Turning Point USA is an extremist group with ties to white supremacists and whose Founder endorsed the Great Replacement Terrorist Ideology which motivated the killer who committed mass murder of Black people in Buffalo, New York this past weekend.

Turning Point USA also “treated Kyle Rittenhouse like a rockstar” and hosted him as a featured Speaker at their 2021 National Conference, Americafest.

“A science and history teacher at the school are helping them with it” one parent told us. “For them to be speaking to Pete Mundo, who our 2 newest board members also did interviews with, it’s very clear this is a strategic move,” they told us.

For those who don’t know, Pete Mundo is a Kansas City-based radio host who regularly amplifies white supremacists on his platform such as leader of Jan 6 attempted coup, Josh Hawley.

Earlier this year, students from a Texas chapter of Turning Point USA at The Woodlands High School, attended a retreat which attendees proudly self-described as “Hitler-youth without the Hitler.”

A number of students and parents have already expressed outrage at the group’s attempted founding, primarily in Lee’s Summit Facebook Groups and on campus.

This is a developing story.
