Cypher Troutner invests their time in contributing to The Kansas City Defender through volunteer work and attending meetings. In addition to their work at KC Defender, they have interned at Midwest Innocence Project, an organization dedicated to exonerating wrongful convicts. Currently, they continue to volunteer at a variety of other organizations, including: HALO, Sandy Hook Promise, and Heartland Tree Alliance.

In 2024 Fall, Cypher will continue their education at University of Kansas.
